Vietnamese airline Vietjet is rolling out discounted fares from Australia to mark the country’s National Day celebrations.
The sale includes 800,000 one-way “Eco” tickets starting at AUD $199, available across six routes linking Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth with Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. The promotion runs until 2:00am AEST on 21 August and covers travel between 15 September 2025 and 27 May 2026.
Travellers booking international flights during the sale period for trips between 15 September and 15 December will also get 20kg of checked baggage included at no extra cost.
To tie in with the celebrations, Vietjet is offering extras for passengers, including discounted meals and souvenirs for anyone flying in festive outfits featuring the Vietnamese flag, and in-flight cultural performances on select services. The airline’s menu will also feature Vietnamese staples such as pho, banh mi, and iced milk coffee alongside international dishes.
Those heading to Vietnam during the period can also catch the national exhibition 80 Years of Independence – Freedom – Happiness in Hanoi (28 August – 5 September), which will feature cultural displays, interactive technology, and a look at Vietnam’s aviation links.
Tickets are available through Vietjet’s website and mobile app.
