Singapore Airlines is rolling out a series of changes to its KrisFlyer loyalty programme, adding more ways for members to earn and spend miles both in the air and on the ground.

From 1 September 2025, spending with the airline group’s non-flight businesses will start to count towards tier status. PPS Club members will earn one PPS Value for every SGD 3 spent on Kris+ shopping and dining in Singapore and Australia, KrisShop purchases, and Pelago experiences. KrisFlyer members will earn one Elite mile for every SGD 1 spent in the same categories.

A new redemption option called Access redemption is also being introduced from 1 November 2025. It will allow members to use KrisFlyer miles to secure confirmed tickets on Singapore Airlines flights whenever seats are available, even when award seats have already been taken. The number of miles required will vary depending on demand.

Award charts for flight redemptions and upgrades are also being revised. Economy Saver awards within Asia and the South West Pacific will drop by 5%. Business and First/Suites Saver awards on the same routes will rise by 5%. Saver award rates across all cabins for Europe and the US will go up by 5%, while flights to Africa, the Middle East and Turkey will see increases of 10 to 20%. Advantage award rates are set to increase across most zones, ranging from 5% to 18% depending on route and class. The new rates will apply to tickets issued from 1 November 2025, while existing bookings made before 31 October will remain at current levels.

Scoot award flights were also added to the programme earlier this month, allowing KrisFlyer members to redeem miles for travel on the low-cost carrier’s network of more than 70 destinations. Saver awards require fewer miles but come with more limited availability, while Advantage awards cost more but provide a greater choice of seats. A one-way Saver award between Singapore and Malaysia starts at 1,500 miles. Additional services such as baggage or meals will still need to be paid in cash.

Other adjustments took effect from 1 July 2025. The mix of miles and cash for flight tickets on Singapore Airlines and Scoot has been improved, with 100 miles now equal to SGD 1 (down from 1050 miles previously). Non-flight redemption rates have also been standardised across Kris+, KrisShop and Pelago, with 100 miles equal to SGD 1 in each case. The minimum redemption amount is now lower too — 10 miles for Kris+ transactions and 1,000 miles for KrisShop and Pelago purchases.
