Air New Zealand has launched a New Year sale, offering discounted fares across its domestic and international network for travel in 2026.
The sale runs from 7 to 19 January, unless sold out earlier, and includes flights within New Zealand as well as services to Australia, the Pacific Islands, North America and Asia.
Air New Zealand chief commercial officer Scott Wilkinson said the sale is aimed at encouraging customers to start planning their travel early.
“If you’ve been waiting for a sign to book flights to the destination you’ve been dreaming about, this is it,” Wilkinson said. “With every destination across our network on sale, we’re helping Kiwi customers kick off the year with a plan and a boarding pass.
“Whether it’s a long awaited reunion, a new adventure, or simply a well earned break, we’re making it more affordable for people to get those trips in the diary and start the year on a positive note.”
The airline said sale fares are available across its entire network, with a range of domestic routes included. One way domestic fares start from $69, including flights from Auckland to Gisborne, Napier and Tauranga, as well as Christchurch to Dunedin.
Trunk routes are also part of the sale, with fares starting from $79 one way between Auckland and Wellington or Christchurch, and from $99 between Auckland and Queenstown.
For Australian travel, one way seat only fares start from $215 from Auckland or Christchurch to Brisbane, $220 to the Gold Coast, $225 from Wellington or Christchurch to Sydney, and $235 from Auckland to Sydney.
Flights to the Pacific Islands are also included, with one way seat only fares starting from $228 between Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch and Nadi. Other example fares include Auckland to Apia and Niue from $238, and Christchurch to Rarotonga from $338 on the airline’s new route.
For longer haul travel, Air New Zealand said one way economy fares to North America start from $499 to Honolulu, $599 to Los Angeles, and $799 to New York from Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch.
Flights to Asia are also part of the sale, with one way economy fares starting from $529 to Shanghai, $579 to Bali, and $599 to Hong Kong.
The airline said travel periods and conditions apply, and fares are available for booking until 19 January or until sold out.
