United Airlines is to reduce its services from San Francisco to Auckland.

The airline won’t operate planned flights between mid-April 2017 to October 2017 United’s partner on the route Air New Zealand, will continue to operate between San Francisco and Auckland during this time.

A spokesperson for Flight Centre said they are working with customers booked on these flights to find suitable alternatives.

Since July the airline had been flying to Auckland 3 times a week using a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner.

United Airlines will commence daily flights to Auckland on 31st October, then an additional 3 flights per week during the peak months of December to March, operating 10 flights per week to meet seasonal demand.
