Fiji welcomed a record 99,311 visitors in July, the highest monthly total in the country’s history. The figure is up 1% on July 2024 and 3% higher than the same month in 2019, before the pandemic.
Australians made up the largest share, accounting for 45% of all arrivals and setting a new record for visitor numbers from the country. Other markets also showed strong growth compared with last year, including the United States (up 7%), Canada (up 10%), the United Kingdom (up 19%), and Europe (up 8%).
Tourism Fiji estimates visitor spending reached $343 million in July. The country also received 3,132 cruise passengers during the month. Tourism contributes around 40% of Fiji’s economy.
From January to July, Fiji has seen a total of 543,073 visitors, keeping the destination on track for another year of tourism growth.
