Vietjet has kicked off a three-day promotion for flights between Australia and Vietnam, with fares starting at AUD $199 including taxes and fees.

The sale runs until 2:00am AEST on 31 August 2025, and applies to travel between 1 October 2025 and 27 May 2026. Some blackout dates and route restrictions will apply.

The airline currently links Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth with Vietnam, offering connections to popular holiday destinations such as Da Nang, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc and Hue. Passengers can also continue on to other cities across Asia-Pacific through Vietjet’s wider network.

The timing of the sale lines up with Vietnam’s National Day celebrations. As part of the festivities, Vietjet is set to take part in the “80 Years of Independence – Freedom – Happiness” event in Hanoi, highlighting the country’s aviation sector.

Onboard, passengers can choose from Vietnamese dishes like pho, banh mi and iced milk coffee, along with a range of international meals. Vietjet also highlights cultural performances on selected services.

The airline says the discounted fares are aimed at encouraging more Australians to plan trips to Vietnam over the coming months.
