Carnival Cruise Line has rolled out a new non-alcoholic drinks package for passengers who want more options beyond soft drinks and water.
The package, called CHEERS! Zero Proof, includes a mix of alcohol-free drinks such as mocktails, wine, beer, smoothies, coffee, teas, energy drinks and milkshakes. It’s available to buy ahead of time online from $39.99 per person per day, or on board for $44.99.
Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line, said the move came in response to feedback from travellers looking for a broader non-alcoholic package. She said it combines Carnival’s range of alcohol-free drinks with the flexibility of its other beverage plans. Duffy added that the new offer gives an alternative to the line’s existing CHEERS! alcohol-inclusive package, while offering more variety than its Bottomless Bubbles soda plan.
Some drinks, such as alcohol-free beer, wine and mocktails, will carry an age restriction of 18 and over.
Like Carnival’s other packages, CHEERS! Zero Proof is aimed at giving passengers a simpler way to bundle drinks rather than purchasing them individually.
