Korean Air has added a new feature to its mobile app that offers real-time guidance for passengers travelling through Incheon International Airport (ICN).
The Incheon Airport Guide uses the airport’s public Open API to provide live updates on key operations. Passengers with Korean Air bookings have their flights automatically synced, while those flying with other airlines can manually enter their flight details to access the service.
The feature allows passengers to:
- Monitor congestion at check-in counters, security, and immigration checkpoints
- Check parking availability on each floor of long- and short-term facilities
- Estimate travel times from arrival to the boarding gate, broken down by each stage
- Locate Korean Air lounges and see real-time occupancy levels
One unique function is the pickup request service, which lets passengers share their estimated arrival time and exit door via SMS or messaging apps, helping family and friends meet them more easily.
“The Incheon Airport Guide feature enhances passenger convenience by bringing tailored airport information directly into our mobile app,” said a Korean Air representative. “We will continue to develop digital solutions that create smoother, more efficient travel experiences for our customers.”
